Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Charted.cc ("the Service"), operated by Jungle Tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Charted.cc.

2. Description of Service

Charted.cc is a data visualization platform that provides a chart editor supporting 10+ chart formats and 9 themes, customizable templates, AI-powered chart generation, data connectors to public sources (BLS, FRED, World Bank), chart and data export, interactive dashboards, and presentation decks. The Service is available via free and paid subscription plans.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account via Google OAuth.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it.
• You may not create more than one account per person.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You must notify us immediately at support@charted.cc if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Plans & Payment

Free Tier

The free plan includes access to limited chart formats and themes, includes a Charted.cc watermark on exports, and provides a limited number of AI generation credits.

Pro Tier

The Pro plan is available at $15/month or $144/year (equivalent to $12/month). Pro unlocks all chart formats, all themes, removes the watermark, and includes expanded AI credits and priority features.

Billing & Renewals

All payments are processed through Creem. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.

Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@charted.cc and we will review your case.

5. User Content & Intellectual Property

Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data, charts, dashboards, and other content you create using the Service ("User Content"). Charted.cc does not claim ownership of your User Content.

License to Charted.cc

By using the Service, you grant Charted.cc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

Public Charts

When you make a chart or dashboard public, you opt in to allowing anyone with the link to view and fork it. Public content may appear in search results and the Charted.cc explore page.

Templates

If you submit a template for community use, it may be featured on Charted.cc and made available for other users to use and customize.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload or share content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on others' rights
• Abuse the API or overload the Service with excessive automated requests
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service without express permission
• Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful software through the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation

7. Third-Party Data Sources

The Service provides access to data from third-party sources, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), and the World Bank. This data is provided as-is from the respective sources. Charted.cc does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any data you use.

8. Intellectual Property

The Charted.cc platform, including its code, design, branding, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Jungle Tools and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform. You retain ownership of your User Content as described in Section 5.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Charted.cc does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Charted.cc and Jungle Tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you paid to Charted.cc in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Charted.cc, Jungle Tools, and their officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may discontinue using the Service.
